Hand-hewed posts and beams arrived on a flatbed trailer and work began last Saturday (yes, 12-13-14) on the new house at Gnome Countryside. With the temperature just above freezing, a crew of about 20 people worked under cloudy skies raising walls on a home to replace the one destroyed by fire in February 2014.
Below left, workers set up scaffolding on the floor beams. Below right, the site supervisor keeps an eagle eye as work progresses.
The time to build up is always now.
