It was me and my bike's first ride since the accident.
The ER doctor said all her friends in Philadelphia have been knocked off their bikes by motorists. She said she rides bike around Lancaster but she won't ride there.
It happened to me November 6 in Grandview Heights. The vehicle driver hit my bike's handlebar. I stayed upright by automatically touching ground with both feet.
Only to feel the SUV's rear wheel run over my left foot and ankle.
I was fortunate -- x-rays showed no broken bones. The foot is still swollen and it's painful to put a shoe on. There's a four-inch long abrasion just above the ankle. Wrenched the knee too. But at least I can walk.
