No, for dinner tonight we're having CORN PIE.
Hard to find but worth it, corn pie is best when its ingredients are fresh and local. As Pennsylvania Dutch restaurants disappear, corn pie merges into the "ethnic food" category -- even here in Lancaster County!
The delicious dish in the photo above was served at Classic Creations where every Wednesday is corn pie day (they're on Route 72 north of Lebanon).

On the home front, in the back garden it's a great year for tomatoes. Slice 'em onto crunchy lettuce, add a drizzle of olive oil, a dash of vinegar, and enjoy them on the side with your corn pie.
